Tk carburetor settings. There is an adjustable needle next to the pilot jet but the service manual does not cover the adjustment, nor even discusses the needle assembly. This is to offset for a richer mix at idle speeds due to wear in the metering jet needle. Mine began running up to 12K WOT and the hi jet adjustment seems to not work to bring down the WOT RPMs. Sep 30, 2006 · This carburetor only has an idle speed adjustment screw and what the factory calls an idle mixture screw. My question involves richening of the fuel mixture. The recommended idle speed is 1050, + or - 50 rpm. The smaller of the 2 adjustment screws is an air bleed and will generally be closed off, it's there to lean out the idle mixture by bleeding air into the carburetor.
